Some of you probably saw on facebook that I was a little heartbroken when one of our Bradford Pear trees split in a storm a few nights ago. We had loaded up in the car to run some errands on Saturday morning. As we were backing out of the driveway, we noticed that we weren't going anywhere soon. Half of the tree was laying across the driveway!
After I got over my initial shock, I ran to get the camera. I figured I had taken so many pictures of them in the spring & fall when they are just gorgeous, that I should capture this as well. When I got back, the boys were "helping" Craig cut it so that we could actually move it and go on with our day. So glad I got the camera! I know they aren't perfect. There are 100 technical things wrong with them, but I don't care! It's my boys & I love them!
Craig taught Bryce how to use this little handsaw. I was not a big fan of that (being the mommy that I am), but I kept my mouth shut, praying that this teachable moment wouldn't land us in the hospital!
Blake had to get in on the action too, so he got his scissors to help cut off the leaves!
Bryce was really into it. That's his football face, so I know he was serious!
He would even cut them off the small branches that were just all around the yard!
And Brett was just as happy as he could be still in his carseat! He's doing this thing with his tongue when he smiles & squints his eyes too! He makes me laugh!
